Terms of Use
The agreement between you and WiredBridge for using Kalends. Plain-English, and honest about how subscriptions and billing actually work.
1. Who these terms are with
Kalends (“the Service”, “the app”) is operated by WiredBridge (“we”, “us”), United Kingdom. By creating a household, installing the app, or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy & data policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service. Questions: [email protected].
2. The Service
Kalends is a shared family calendar with chores, meal planning and a wall display, syncing across the calendars and devices you connect. We may add, change or remove features over time. Some features are described as “coming soon” or “on the roadmap” — those are not part of what we promise today.
3. Your household account
- You must be 18 or older to create and manage a household. You’re responsible for the family members you add and for keeping your login secure.
- One person sets up and administers each household. Transferring household ownership does not transfer who pays for or controls a store subscription — that stays with the original purchaser’s Apple ID or Google account.
- You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to disrupt it, attempt to breach its security, or use it to store or share unlawful content.
4. Subscriptions, trials and billing
Kalends is free to start. Optional Kalends Plus unlocks the full household experience.
- Plans & price. Plus is offered monthly (£6.99/month) or annually (£59.99/year). The exact price you pay is always the one shown in your app store or at checkout for your region and currency before you confirm — that figure governs.
- Free trial. Plus may include a 7-day free trial. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription and you’re charged the price shown.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your payment method is charged on renewal.
- How you’re billed. On iPhone/iPad, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID. On Android, purchases are processed by Google through Google Play. For a standalone wall device bought directly from us, billing is handled by Stripe or Revolut. We never see or store your card number.
- Managing & cancelling. Manage or cancel an App Store subscription in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions; a Google Play subscription in the Play Store → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are subject to that store’s refund policy, and refunds for those purchases are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. For direct purchases, contact [email protected]. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
5. Connected accounts and your content
When you connect a calendar (for example Apple iCloud via an app-specific password), you authorise us to read the calendars you choose and write back events you create on your wall display. You own your calendar, chore and meal data. You can export or delete it at any time from Settings → Account. How we handle it is set out in our Privacy & data policy.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend or discontinue parts of the Service, and we may update these Terms; if we make material changes we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t exclude or limit liability for anything that can’t lawfully be excluded (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms affects your non-excludable rights as a consumer.
8. App Store downloads (Apple)
If you download the app from Apple’s App Store, the following also applies:
- These Terms are between you and WiredBridge only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Any warranty, product claim, or legal-compliance question about the app is our responsibility, not Apple’s; if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any), and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- You confirm you’re not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or listed as a prohibited/restricted party, and you’ll comply with applicable third-party and usage terms.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.
